Partners in crime

I suggest you find one.

I have two and they are vital.

They read my manuscripts, pointing out sentences that are confusing, spelling errors ect.

Mainly they are giving me a fresh view point to my work.

Because you know, after working on something for *years*  how often do you go back and read it again?  Not often unless you are changing a scene so that it matches up the with the later newer scene that you've added.  And even then, things start to become dull because you've read it again and again.

When I was visiting my partners, they read my manuscripts my ideas and such. (much to my delight)  They pointed out scenes that I had completely forgotten about, and renewed my interest in the book.

I swear I write more when I'm there.

If you go out and try to find a partner, here are some guidelines:

1st off, make sure they actually are interested in your writing.  You don't want to have someone where its like pulling teeth to get them to read your book. Also, and I think this essential, you need someone to bounce ideas off of.
Truly this is how you get rid of writer's block.  With new ideas bubbling, and someone looking over your shoulder, prodding you to finish a scene, you'll have that block nipped in the bud.

Partners in crime also are your encourager; at the same time, keeping you in line.  "You can't do that!  No one would want to read it if you kill him."  Is a phrase I hear often.  Let's just say, sometimes I get fed up with a character in a book or I think they've run their course so its off to the gallows for them.
So it's safe to say they keep me from running in the deep.

My partners in crime
I'm thankful I have them!

 Thanks, guys!
