Catching up on things...

Wow whee!  Where has the time gone?  It seems like it was May just yesterday;now its July!  Gardening, chores, watching kids, Geometry and everything else  keeps a person going , but I always make time to relax.;)

The Marbold house

My mom and I went to an antique sale.  I mean these were the real things not the copy's.  Needless to say there were some pretty interesting things.  I can say though that I wasn't ready to dig into my pants pocket and dish out the dough for anything so I didn't buy anything.
Very tempted to get these.  They were the cutest little things.

One of the little buildings around the house.
It was funny I was taking pictures of a couple things because well, why not?  And one of the dealers came behind me and said, "Pictures are $5 each."  I was quite stunned.  Then the lady started laughing and told me she was joking(much to my relief)  She warned me though to be careful because some dealers get quite upset about that.  Something about people taking pictures of antiques and then making a copy of that item therefore lowering that item's value?  Needless to say, I was wary of taking pictures after that.
We bought kettle corn and then went on to Springfield to get a couple things that day.  It was quite a exciting day.
It was raining on and off there for awhile in June, but its looking like things are settling down to those hot summer days.

A flooded Twin Bridges

Snake!  Needless to say, me and my brother treaded lightly hoping not to encounter one by surprise.

This lil guy must have been blown out during one of the storms.  He was quite the speedy little guy and didn't want his picture taken.  I'm sure the little kids got a kick out of watching me running around after a little bird trying to get a picture.

A friend of mine came up from Alabama to visit for a couple weeks, and while she was here we got together a couple times.  We had a great time on her grandpa's farm on one of the days.

Kimberly.  For those that don't know her, let me tell you she is an amazing person.  We've known each other since we were very young.  Whether it was standing together when she was being teased about missing her two front teeth, or playing on the big bed in my basement as super cats(wild imagination, I know.) we were best buds.  I can't remember how old we were when she moved down to Alabama, 7 or 8 maybe?  Anyhow, we were out of touch for awhile.  We didn't start hanging out again till last year when I happened to be at her aunt's wedding.  We struck up a conversation and have been keeping in touch ever since.  So no, we aren't playing super cats anymore, but we are still having some pretty savvy adventures.

This little guy was at the park not at the pond by the way.

Taken on one of my night excursions with the pups.  They couldn't wait till the morning to go.
Abstract for the day

Fourth of July was fantastic! We played a whole bunch of games including ninja.  Was bombed by the beanbag toss but I'm getting over that.  Did not take pictures of the fireworks which was dumb of me because we were in a good spot and all that.

We had our kitchen remodled and after a couple setbacks its finally finished!  The sink in my opinion is the best part.  Why you migh ask?  Becuase of this....

So yeah, I'm estatic about the sink.  Well, I think I'm caught up.  For now...
